Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy covers Job Baddie (the "App") and the Job Baddie Chrome extension (the "Extension"), both operated by the same team ("we," "us"). It explains what information we collect when you use the App or Extension, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By creating an account or installing the Extension, you agree to the practices described here, and to our Terms of Service.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and password to create and secure your account. Your profile may also include your first name, last name, current job title, and company, which you provide voluntarily to personalize your experience.

Job search & application data

Job listings you save or add — whether typed in manually or captured via the Extension — including job title, company, location, salary, job type, description, source, posting date, and the application stage you assign (e.g. saved, applied, interviewing).

Resumes & documents

Resumes and other documents you upload, along with resumes our AI features generate or tailor on your behalf, are stored in your account so you can access and re-download them later.

AI feature usage

When you use resume tailoring, generation, or match-scoring features, we log that the request happened (for example, to enforce usage limits and keep the features reliable). We do not use this activity for advertising.

Pro survey & launch email

If you choose to answer our survey about a paid Pro plan, we keep your answers with your account, along with when you answered and the plan you were on, and use them to decide what to build and how to price it. Answering gives your account bonus AI generations, and we keep a record of those.

If you ask to be emailed when Pro launches, we keep that request, the wording you agreed to, and when you agreed. We use it only to email you about the Pro launch, and you can stop it at any time from Account → Plan in the App or from the unsubscribe link in the email.

The Chrome Extension

The Extension reads job posting details (title, company, location, salary, description, and similar fields) from a job page on a supported site, and lets you save that data to your Job Baddie account with one click. Supported sites include job boards and the careers sites employers run on hiring platforms, which may be at the employer's own web address.

• It reads a job page only when you press Save Job in the Extension on that page, and sends the job to your account only as part of that save. If the page turns out not to be a supported job posting, nothing is saved or sent.
• It does not track or transmit your general browsing history, or your activity on any other site.
• Chrome's permission list for the Extension shows the few sites it may access at any time. Other supported sites are not listed there: the Extension can reach them only in the tab where you click its icon, and Chrome withdraws that access when you leave that site or close the tab.
• It keeps two things in your browser's local extension storage: your sign-in session (the tokens that keep you signed in, and your account's email address), which is used only to talk to your Job Baddie account and is removed when you sign out; and company names you corrected for employers whose job pages don't show their everyday name, so your next save from that employer is filled in. These are never sent on their own, reach your account only as part of a job you save, and stay in the browser after you sign out. Both are removed when you remove the Extension.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics on the App to count page views and understand how visitors find and move through the site. It does not run in the Extension.

It does not use cookies, and it does not store your IP address. Visitors are counted using a hash derived from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours — so it cannot follow you across sessions, or across other websites. Each page view may record:

• The time of the visit, the page path, and the page's route pattern.
• The referring URL and query parameters in the address.
• Approximate location — country, region, and city.
• Operating system, browser, and device type, with their versions.

We see this only as aggregate statistics. It is not linked to your account, and we cannot use it to identify you.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and authenticate your account, and keep you signed in.
• To display and organize your saved jobs, application pipeline, and documents.
• To power AI features — generating or tailoring a resume, and scoring your resume against a job description — by sending the relevant resume and/or job description text to our AI processing provider.
• To decide what to build and how to price a paid plan, from survey answers you choose to give.
• To email you about the Pro launch, only if you asked us to.
• To respond when you contact us for support.
• To measure aggregate traffic — how many people visit, and which pages they use — so we can improve the App.

We do not use your data to serve ads, and we do not build advertising profiles from your activity.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers that operate the App on our behalf:

• Supabase — hosts our database, handles authentication, and stores uploaded and generated documents.
• Vercel — hosts and serves the App, and provides the analytics described above.
• Anthropic — processes resume and job description text you submit to power AI resume tailoring, generation, and match-scoring. This content is sent only when you actively use one of these features.

These providers are contractually restricted to using your data only to provide the service to us — not for their own advertising or model training outside what their own terms disclose. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data Storage & Security

Data is stored in our Supabase-hosted database and transmitted over HTTPS. Row Level Security policies restrict every table and storage bucket so that a user can only ever read or write their own data.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in between visits. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles. The analytics described above runs as a script on the App but sets no cookies of its own. The Extension's local storage is described under The Chrome Extension above.

Data Retention

We retain your account, saved jobs, and documents for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we delete your account data, including saved jobs and stored documents, within a reasonable time.

Your Rights & Choices

• You can update your profile information at any time from within the App.
• You can delete individual saved jobs or documents at any time.
• You can request a copy of your data, or request that we delete your account and associated data, by contacting us below.
• You can remove the Extension at any time from Chrome's extension settings.

Children's Privacy

You must be at least 18 to use Job Baddie. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App or Extension after a change means you accept the updated policy.
